Job summary

Manitowoc Pattern & Machining (MP&M) is seeking a Machinist for a 2nd shift in Manitowoc, WI. The role involves setting up production equipment, optimizing processes, and delivering quality parts in a Friday–Sunday schedule.

The position offers a 3-day workweek (Friday–Sunday) with 36 hours paid as 40, plus opportunities to work with modern CNC tooling and a climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

• Read and understand process sheets and work instructions in English.
• Basic math skills applicable to tolerances and measurements.
• Experience with Mastercam software for toolpath creation.

Responsibilities

• Create 3-5 axis toolpaths using Mastercam.
• Determine cutting parameters and tool types based on material and spec.
• Collaborate with engineering to meet quality and design objectives.
• Design basic 3-D models, drawings, and tooling fabrication specifications.
• Comply with ISO, IATF, and AS9100 standards when documenting machine setup.
• Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of equipment and tooling.
• Communicate effectively in English.

Schedule

Friday - Sunday
5:00 PM - 5:00 AM

Work just 3 days per week

36 hours worked, paid for 40 hours

What You'll Do

• Effectively communicate, verbally and written, in English
• Read and understand process sheets and work instructions in English
• Ability to hear
• Good vision including close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Create 3-5 Axis tool path utilizing Master Cam Software
• Determine methods, cutter types, and cutting parameters based on material design and specifications
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure quality and design objectives are achieved
• Design basic 3-D computer models, drawings and specifications for fabrication of tooling and machined elements
• Comply with ISO, IATF, and AS9100 standards when documenting machine setup
• Perform general maintenance, cleaning, and organization of equipment and tooling
• Other duties as assigned to ensure efficient operators
