Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a hospital/long-term care Cook to manage the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. This role requires maintaining sanitary facilities, preparing meals in large quantities, and following menus with accurate portion control.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of cook experience in healthcare settings. ServSafe certification and health department compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospital/long-term care cooking experience preferred.
• ServSafe Certificate required.
• Must remain in good standing with the Department of Public Health.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides.
• Prepare special diets accurately.
• Record food temperatures for meals.
