Job summary

Flat Branch Mortgage Inc. is seeking a Servicing Quality Control Analyst to perform quality control reviews of residential mortgage servicing activities, ensuring compliance with agency, investor, insurer, regulatory, and company requirements across performing and default portfolios.

The ideal candidate has extensive mortgage servicing experience, strong analytical abilities, and thorough knowledge of regulatory documents such as CFPB guidelines and TRID disclosures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mortgage servicing experience including in depth knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, GNMA and Conventional guidelines.
• In depth knowledge of loan default, bankruptcy, loss mitigation, foreclosure, and claims requirements.
• Understanding of Loan Servicing Standards as set forth by the CFPB (RESPA, TILA, etc.).
• Knowledge of disclosures, TRID documents and other regulatory documentation applicable to residential servicing.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must present a professional image to represent Flat Branch at all times.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Customer service and complaint handling
• Cash posting and payment application
• Investor reporting
• Escrow administration
• Bankruptcy
• Collection activities
• Foreclosure
• Property preservation and inspection activities
• Claims processing
• Review servicing practices for compliance with federal and state regulations, investor requirements, and company policies.
• Identify defects, exceptions, trends, and control weaknesses; document findings and recommendations.
• Maintain thorough documentation supporting all review conclusions and findings.
• Prepare quality control reports and assist with remediation tracking.
• Maintain current knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, FHLMC, and GNMA servicing requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

This role reviews servicing operations across performing and default loan portfolios, identifies defects and risks, and supports corrective action efforts to improve servicing quality and compliance.
