Job Summary

The Senior Technical Consultant has extensive knowledge and experience in designing and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow Platform. They define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications to support business requirements. The role requires strong analytical skills, research, design, documentation, and software modification capabilities throughout the production lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Manage project processes such as platform architecture, documentation, integration, effort estimation, and advanced development. Attend, participate, and occasionally lead Scrum meetings.
• Translate requirements, stories, and mock-ups into fully functional features in collaboration with the implementation team.
• Perform technical development and configuration, ensuring high standards of quality, and guide junior/mid-level developers.
• Follow ServiceNow best practices for technical design within projects.
• Provide timely updates to Project Lead to facilitate proactive communication with customers.
• Contribute to process improvements and maturity of portfolio capabilities, expertise, and best practices considering customer needs.
• Fill technical or process roles as needed in projects.
• Lead, educate, mentor, and develop assigned resources.
• Assist in scoping new opportunities and designing tools and techniques for efficient delivery.
• Act as the final escalation point for technical decisions within a project.
• Partner with HR for technical interviews and recruitment support.

Certifications Required

• ServiceNow platform
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist for ITSM
• Proven experience in two additional product lines outside of ITSM
• ITIL

This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance.
