Job summary

Oblytech India Private Limited is seeking a skilled ServiceNow Technical Consultant to support enterprise customers. You will maintain and enhance CMDB and Discovery, focusing on ITOM health, service mapping, and CI relationships across global teams.

You will design and optimize workflows, collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams, and drive continuous improvements in ITOM processes while leveraging REST/SOAP Integrations and Integration Hub.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow platform experience.
• ITOM: Discovery, Event Management, CMDB, and Cloud Management.
• Integrations using REST, SOAP APIs, and Integration Hub.
• Scripting: JavaScript, Glide APIs, Jelly, and Business Rules.
• UI customization: Service Portal, Widgets, and Dashboards.
• Development: ServiceNow Studio for custom apps/workflows.
• Support: Level 2/3 for enterprise ServiceNow.
• Willing to rotate across global time zones.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and ITOM processes including incident resolution and requests.
• Maintain CMDB health with reconciliation and data quality improvements.

About the Role:

Oblytech is seeking a skilled ServiceNow Technical Consultant with strong expertise in CMDB, Discovery, and ITOM. In this role, you will support enterprise customers by maintaining and enhancing their ServiceNow platform, with a strong focus on configuration management, service mapping, infrastructure visibility, and operational health.

You will be responsible for administration, development, support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across CMDB and Discovery-related capabilities, while working closely with customer and internal teams in a global delivery model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support for ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and ITOM-related processes, including incident resolution, service requests, and defect fixes.
• Manage and maintain CMDB health, including identification, reconciliation, normalization, and data quality improvements.
• Configure, administer, and optimize ServiceNow Discovery for servers, network devices, cloud resources, and other infrastructure components.
• Support implementation and maintenance of Service Mapping and related ITOM capabilities.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Discovery schedules, credentials, MID Servers, probes, sensors, patterns, and identification errors.
• Develop and enhance CMDB and ITOM workflows, business rules, scripts, and automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to onboard new services and ensure accurate CI relationships.
• Support Event Management and overall ITOM process improvements where applicable.
  Develop and maintain integrations with third-party tools and monitoring systems using REST, SOAP APIs, and Integration Hub.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow platform experience with in-depth knowledge of:
• ITOM: Discovery, Event Management, CMDB and Cloud Management.
• Integrations using REST, SOAP APIs, and Integration Hub.
• Scripting: JavaScript, Glide APIs, Jelly, and Business Rules.
• UI customization: Service Portal, Widgets, and Dashboards.
• Reporting and analytics: Performance Analytics and Metrics Configuration.
• Development Skills: Proven experience in building custom applications and workflows using ServiceNow Studio.
• Support Skills: Level 2/Level 3 support experience for enterprise ServiceNow implementations.
• Shift Readiness: Flexibility to work in rotational shifts covering global time zones.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with teams across India, Australia, and the US.

Certifications:

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or higher certifications (e.g., CAD, CIS).
• ITOM/ITAM-specific certifications (e.g., ITOM Visibility Implementation Specialist, Discovery, HAM, ITAM Implementer, etc.) are highly preferred.
