Job summary

Falcon Smart IT in Chicago is seeking a ServiceNow ITOM Senior Developer to lead design, development, and implementation of ITOM solutions. You will mentor junior developers, collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams, and actively participate in architecture review boards by presenting and defending technical designs.

The role requires expertise in ITOM modules, governance, and integrations with monitoring/cloud tools, ensuring scalable, high-performance platform delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of ServiceNow development experience with 6+ years in ITOM.
• Experience with Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB.
• Strong integration experience with monitoring, cloud, and infrastructure tools.
• Ability to lead architecture governance and create HLD/LLD documents.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow ITOM solutions including: Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB.
• Develop and maintain Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Flow Designer workflows, UI Policies, ACLs, and integrations.
• Lead technical solution design, prepare HLD/LLD documentation, and support architecture governance processes.
• Participate in Architecture Review Boards and defend technical designs and implementation strategies.
• Implement and optimize CMDB governance, discovery patterns, service mapping, and event monitoring solutions.
• Integrate ServiceNow with monitoring and cloud platforms such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Datadog, SolarWinds, Azure, AWS, and VMware.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and ensure platform scalability and performance.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across ITOM initiatives.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Operations, Security, and Enterprise Architecture teams.
