ServiceNow Developer | Platform Development & Configuration | Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph Required
Are you a skilled ServiceNow Developer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering clean, well-documented platform solutions? We are looking for a technically proficient, customer-focused professional ready to develop, configure, and continuously improve a mission-critical ServiceNow environment in direct support of a key government program.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will play a hands‑on role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform — from configuring Application UIs and implementing custom modules to supporting user administration, reporting, and SLA management. You will work closely with colleagues, stakeholders, and end users to translate real business requirements into effective platform solutions, communicate those solutions in accessible, non-technical terms, and ensure everything is thoroughly documented and tested. You will also contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, sharing knowledge and best practices with the broader team to elevate the quality and consistency of platform delivery across the program.

- Experience: Demonstrated hands‑on experience developing and configuring applications on the ServiceNow platform
Required Technical Skills:
- ServiceNow Development: Proven ability to develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the ServiceNow platform, including configuration and customization of applications, Application User Interface (UI), and workflow automation
- Update Set Management: Experience creating, managing, and promoting update sets throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Platform Operations: Hands‑on experience supporting ServiceNow operations including User and Group administration, reporting, metrics, and SLA configuration and management
- Reporting Solutions: Ability to build and enhance reporting solutions both natively within ServiceNow and through external reporting tools to meet customer requirements
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Experience performing unit testing and supporting quality assurance activities to ensure platform stability and reliability
- Customer Communication: Exceptional ability to engage with customers in non-technical terms, understand their business requirements, and translate them into appropriate ServiceNow solutions
- Documentation: Strong ability to prepare and maintain comprehensive, up‑to‑date documentation including requirements, design specifications, test plans, and as-built application architecture for both internal and external audiences
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Demonstrated commitment to team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and driving continuous improvement across platform processes and standards

- ServiceNow Certification: Holding a ServiceNow certification (CSA or equivalent) is strongly preferred and considered a significant differentiator
- API Integration: Experience working with API-based data sources and integrating external systems with the ServiceNow platform
- Web Application Testing: Experience testing web-based applications using both manual and automated testing approaches
