Job summary

Dev Technology Group is seeking a ServiceNow Application Developer to join our cross-functional team on government projects in the Reston, VA area. This role emphasizes designing and building custom scoped applications on the Now Platform, with heavy scripting, UI Builder work, and integration with other enterprise systems.

You will collaborate with multiple application teams, develop dashboards, and support user story development while adhering to Agile practices.

Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Systems Administration certification required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, with 2-3+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of development experience using the ServiceNow platform.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies for software development.
  • Experience with App Engine and building ServiceNow applications.
  • Deep knowledge of development on the ServiceNow Platform, including client/server scripting, REST APIs, and custom widget development in Service Portal.
  • Experience supporting a Federal Law Enforcement agency is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow development and configuration best practices.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow database hierarchies and design.
  • Experience with development, customization, and administration of multiple ServiceNow components.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Additional ServiceNow certifications (CMDB, Service Portal) are a plus.

Dev Technology Group is looking to onboard a ServiceNow Application developer with specific, tangible experience or certifications in the following:

  • Current ServiceNow System administration certification
  • Experience with App Engine
  • Custom scoped application development

What You'll Be Doing:

Serve as a ServiceNow developer on a cross-functional development team;

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • ServiceNow Systems Administration certification required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, with 2-3+ years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of ServiceNow database hierarchies and design
  • Experience with development, customization, and administration of multiple components of ServiceNow

  • Additional experience or certifications in other ServiceNow applications such as CMDB, or Service Portal for example is a plus

Preferred Education Skills and Experience:

  • ServiceNow Application Development certification is strongly preferred
  • Experience with Angular
  • Experience or training with React
  • Other ServiceNow certifications are a plus
  • ServiceNow AI experience

"Our estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $140,000, this presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offered salary is based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements as appropriate to the role. *Salary could fall outside of this range."
