Job summary

Programmers.io is seeking a ServiceNow Senior Developer (secops) to join our enterprise projects across Cincinnati, OH; Minneapolis, MN; Portland, OR; and Dallas, TX. You will architect and implement ServiceNow solutions, focusing on ITSM, GRC, CMDB, and custom apps, while ensuring ITIL-aligned processes.

You will design forms, scripts, and integrations with REST/SOAP and web services, upgrade paths, and run books, delivering reliable and scalable platform capabilities for our clients.

Qualifications

• ServiceNow System certified administration is a must.
• Certified Implementation Specialist- ITSM is a must.
• ITIL Foundations certification is a must.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.

Responsibilities

• Develop on the ServiceNow platform including ITSM, Service Portal, custom apps, Governance, Risk & Compliance.
• Design and modify ServiceNow forms, scripts, transform maps, service maps, web services, inbound email actions, SLAs.
• Integrate with 3rd party tools using REST, SOAP, email, MID, etc.
• Troubleshoot ServiceNow performance issues.
• Design simple, customizable software to meet client needs and extend functionality.
• Prepare run books on specific technology areas.
• Lead PoCs and support upgrades through releases/version upgrades.
• Collaborate with teams for roadmap and product improvements.

Role: ServiceNow Senior Developer ( secops )

Location: Cincinnati, OH/ Minneapolis, MN/ Portland OR/ Dallas, TX

Duration: Full Time / Contract

Technical Experience

• 4-6 years of experience with ServiceNow Development.
• Broad IT experience of working within a large enterprise on implementation initiatives.
• Candidates shall possess the skill to develop on the ServiceNow platform including the creation and/or customization of the core applications such as ITSM, Service Portal, Custom apps, Governance, Risk & Compliance.
• Should have understanding on ITIL/ITSM processes.
• Design and modify ServiceNow forms, scripts, transform maps, service maps, web services, inbound email actions, SLAs and more.
• Knowledge of best practices in ServiceNow development activities/coding.
• Integration with 3rd party tools using (web services, REST, SOAP, email, MID, etc)
• Troubleshooting Service Now performance issues.
• ServiceNow GRC implementation or development experience will be added value
• Design software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs.
• Help design and implement new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow Development Platform including, but not limited to, ITSM, CMDB, GRC, Custom Development, etc
• Conduct Proof of Concept activities when necessary.
• Prepare run books on specific technology areas.
• Experience with release/version upgrades including scheduling cloning and migration of data from instances with ServiceNow.
• Ability to multi-task and change priorities as needed.
