Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a ServiceNow CMDB Manager / Product Owner to lead the strategy, governance, and evolution of our enterprise CMDB. You will own the product vision, roadmap, and outcomes that transform CMDB into a trusted, service‑centric foundation for IT operations, security, automation, and cloud services.

You will lead CMDB professionals and partner with architects, platform engineers, and technology leaders to drive data quality, governance, and scalable operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading enterprise CMDB, ServiceNow ITOM, or configuration management programs.
• Proven people leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Deep expertise with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, CSDM, IRE, and related integrations.
• Experience building product roadmaps, governance frameworks, and data ownership models.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, applications, and IT service management practices.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, drive organizational change, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the CMDB product vision, roadmap, backlog, and success metrics.
• Lead and develop a team of CMDB engineers, analysts, and administrators.
• Drive CMDB modernization, governance, and CSDM alignment initiatives.
• Improve CMDB data quality, service visibility, lifecycle governance, and certification processes.
• Lead Discovery, Service Mapping, Service Graph, and CMDB integration strategies.
• Establish standards, controls, and accountability models that ensure trusted, sustainable CMDB operations.
• Partner across infrastructure, cloud, security, application, and operations teams to improve asset and service visibility.
• Define and report on KPIs that demonstrate business value, risk reduction, operational efficiency, and platform health.
