Job summary

United Ag & Turf NE is seeking a Service Writer to support the Service Department with customer needs, manage work orders, and assist in pre-delivery and repair processes for new and trade-in equipment.

Responsibilities include advising customers, scheduling, processing warranty claims, and ensuring timely shop operations. High school diploma or GED required; John Deere equipment experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to use standard desktop applications and internet functions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for customer interaction.
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail in scheduling and paperwork.
• Provide robust customer service to internal and external customers.
• Experience in a shop or service department environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on technical problems and service needs.
• Schedule shop and field service work and manage work orders.
• Open and close work orders to meet deadlines and goals.
• Assist in warranty processing and parts/labor coordination.
• Maintain professional relationships with peers and management.
