Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a Service Writer to be the face of the company, handling customer inquiries and managing the service lifecycle from quoting to billing. You will generate repair orders, perform yard audits, and coordinate with technicians to keep projects on schedule while ensuring quality and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, 5+ years in a related field, strong administrative skills, and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar service-oriented or industrial role.
• Proficient in administrative tasks, time management, and organizational workflows.
• Self-starter with exceptional written and verbal communication and a customer-first mentality.
• Frequent movement between office and yard for vehicle and tank inspections.
• PPE: Safety glasses and steel-toe boots required in shop areas.

Responsibilities

• Customer Management: act as primary contact for inquiries, provide quotes, identify service opportunities, and communicate through final payment.
• Workflow Coordination: generate detailed repair orders, perform daily yard audits, and maintain shop logs for efficiency.
• Production Liaison: connect Service Management with Technicians to keep projects on schedule and meet quality standards.
• Parts & Inventory Management: research, procure, and allocate parts per job specs; support fabrication by staging materials.
• Administrative Oversight: manage technician timekeeping for payroll and track KPIs displayed in the facility.
• Invoicing & Documentation: prepare and finalize shop invoices and maintain complete job files for prompt processing.
