Job summary

Jenkins Plumbing Company is seeking a dependable Service/Warranty Technician to handle residential plumbing service and warranty calls, troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and address punch-list items while delivering excellent customer service in customers’ homes and on job sites.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while representing Jenkins Plumbing Company professionally.

Qualifications

  • Previous residential plumbing experience preferred.
  • Service, warranty, or new-construction plumbing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, and repairs.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing problems independently.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple service calls and prioritize work effectively.
  • Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and plumbing-related equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required for positions operating a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to assigned service and warranty calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Diagnose plumbing issues and determine the appropriate repair or corrective action.
  • Perform warranty repairs on residential plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, water heaters, faucets, toilets, drains, and other plumbing components.
  • Complete punch-list items and correct deficiencies identified during inspections, walkthroughs, or warranty requests.
  • Troubleshoot leaks, drainage issues, water pressure concerns, fixture problems, and other plumbing-related issues.
  • Repair or replace defective plumbing materials and equipment as needed.
  • Review work orders and ensure assigned work is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, supervisors, office staff, and other team members.
  • Explain completed repairs and any necessary follow-up to customers when appropriate.
  • Document work performed, materials used, and any additional repairs or follow-up needed.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and assigned vehicle in clean and safe working condition.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of commonly used service and repair materials.
  • Follow company safety procedures and applicable plumbing codes.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work area while working in customers’ homes and on job sites.
  • Perform additional service, warranty, and plumbing-related duties as assigned.
