Alicat Scientific is seeking a Service Technician for our Tucson, AZ site to calibrate, service and repair trace moisture instrumentation. You will work hands-on and with customers to understand needs, propose technical solutions and articulate the value of our products.

Your role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork and reliability, with focus on building trust and delivering quality service to sustain customer relationships and drive growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS or related field preferred.
• Strong technical background and ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience presenting technical products and troubleshooting customer queries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with internal teams and customers.
• Self-motivated, target-driven with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.

Position Summary

We are currently looking for a Service Technician to join our team at Shaw Moisture Meters, based in Tucson, Arizona.

This is a combined role where the successful applicant will be involved in both the hands‑on servicing, calibration and repair of our trace moisture measurement products and providing technical solutions to our customers.
As a Service Technician, you will be calibrating, servicing and repairing our range of products which have been returned by customers to our calibration facility in Tucson. On the customer facing side you will drive business growth by understanding customer needs, providing technical solutions and effectively articulating the value of our products or services. Your role will be pivotal in effectively communicating technical information to customers and helping to develop and maintain relationships to build trust.

Objectives of the role

Required skills and qualifications

• BA bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related field (preferred).
• Strong technical background and ability to understand complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrable experience in presenting technical products and services to customers, providing expert advice and troubleshooting customer queries.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Self‑motivated and target‑driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
