Job summary

Shaw Moisture Meters - US in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a Service Technician to join our team. You will be involved in hands-on servicing, calibration and repair of our trace moisture measurement products and provide technical solutions to customers.

You will calibrate products to manufacturers’ standards, maintain calibration databases, support pre-sales by answering inquiries, and collaborate with engineering to address technical requirements.

Qualifications

Position: Service Technician

Salary: $22-25 an hour

We are currently looking for a Service Technician to join our team at Shaw Moisture Meters, based in Tucson, Arizona. This is a combined role where the successful applicant will be involved in both the hands-on servicing, calibration and repair of our trace moisture measurement products and providing technical solutions to our customers.

As a Service Technician, you will be calibrating, servicing and repairing our range of products which have been returned by customers to our calibration facility in Tucson. On the customer facing side you will drive business growth by understanding customer needs, providing technical solutions and effectively articulating the value of our products or services. Your role will be pivotal in effectively communicating technical information to customers and helping to develop and maintain relationships to build trust.

Objectives of the role

• Understanding customer needs and aligning product offerings with their requirements.
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to customers throughout the sales process.
• Conducting service, calibration and repair of all Shaw products
• Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Your tasks

• Understand our product/service’s technical features, functionalities and benefits.
• Calibrate and service our products to manufacturers standards, ensuring work is completed by target dates with full customer satisfaction
• Maintain calibration databases, develop and improve calibration procedures and full calibration traceability
• Provide pre-sales support by answering technical inquiries and participating in sales discussions.
• Liaise with the engineering or technical team to address technical concerns or requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather technical requirements and ensure the successful implementation of solutions.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• BA bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related field.
• Strong technical background and ability to understand complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrable experience in presenting technical products and services to customers, providing expert advice and troubleshooting customer queries.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Self-motivated and target-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
