Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a Service Technician in Rhode Island to perform propane service, tank installation, and safety inspections at customer sites. You will identify leaks, respond to emergencies, and support on-call rotations.

The role requires a high school diploma, CDL within year, 2–3 years in propane/oil/HVAC service, and journeyman license; we offer flexible schedules, competitive compensation, and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and required licenses.
• 2–3 years propane/oil/HVAC service experience preferred.
• Journeyman license or equivalent required; propane delivery license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Identify and correct leaks from tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed.
• Rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends.
• Prepare spare tanks in plants for service.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Cross-train to assist with bobtail propane deliveries.
• Maintain proactive communication with the Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers.

What You’ll Do:

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Able to identify and correct any leaks from the tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed
• Rotate “on call” status during evenings and weekends as needed
• Perform tank maintenance spare tanks located in the plants in preparation for putting them in service.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Will be cross-trained to assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed
• Consistently communicate proactively with the Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers as necessary

What you bring:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• CDL Class A or B or willingness to obtain within first year of employment in the position
• 2-3 years propane/oil/ HVAC service preferred
• PJF Journeyman or equivalent license required
• Propane Delivery License preferred
