Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is looking for a dependable delivery driver to load, transport, and deliver propane to customers across Rhode Island. You will maintain vehicle safety, use technology to log deliveries, and coordinate with dispatch for efficient routing.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, load and deliver propane to customers and from containers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized vehicle.
• Utilize technology to monitor inventory, record deliveries, and print tickets.
• Perform pre- and post-vehicle inspections; report issues to Fleet Manager/Dispatcher.
• Coordinate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling; communicate safety issues immediately.
• Overtime may be required when business needs demand.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred
• CDL Class A or B
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferredCurrent DOT medical certification
