Job summary

General Services Corporation is seeking a Service Technician III in Durham, NC. You will service and install HVAC units, repair appliances, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while delivering excellent resident service.

The role requires HVAC repair experience, an EPA Type 2 or Universal certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 100 lbs. Bilingual skills are a plus and a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in HVAC repair, plumbing, basic carpentry, and electrical skills.
• EPA Certification (Type 2 or Universal) required.
• HVAC installation and troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Apartment maintenance experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely and proficient manner.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents.
• Repair and/or install appliances and HVAC units to maintain quality dwellings.
• Comply with environmental and OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Handle other general maintenance tickets as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely and proficient manner.
• Provide excellent customer service to our Residents.
• Repair and/or install all appliances and HVAC units as necessary to maintain a quality dwelling.
• Must comply with all environmental and OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Handle other general maintenance tickets as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older
• Have at least 3 years' experience in HVAC repair, plumbing, basic carpentry, and electrical skills.
• Must be EPA Certified (Type 2 or Universal).
• HVAC installation experience.
• HVAC troubleshooting experience.
• Apartment maintenance experience is a plus.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Passing a criminal background check required.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Initiative and customer service skill.
