Job summary

Westdale in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Service Technician I for our 168-unit apartment community. You will turn vacant units into ready homes and maintain the property grounds and common areas, contributing to a team-focused environment.

This hourly, non-exempt position offers on-site work with a path to advancement. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, and apartment rental discounts.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of maintenance experience on an apartment community, commercial building, or single-family residences.
• Must meet all physical requirements and be able to take direction.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
• Weekends as circumstances warrant; Weekly on-call rotation for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Performing minor repairs and maintenance.
• Completing a duties checklist to ensure vacant apartments are move-in ready.
• Walking the property grounds and common areas as well as picking up trash and debris.
• Performing any additional duties assigned by both the Community Manager and/or Service Supervisor.

Rate: $16.00- $17.00 per hour (Hourly non-exempt position)
***Monthly renewal bonuses are paid in addition to base pay.***

As Service Technician I, you will turn vacant units into beautiful apartments, preparing them for new residents to call home. You will also be responsible for the general upkeep of the property grounds and common areas. Work Days: Monday – Friday
