Job summary

Westdale is seeking a Service Technician I for our 314-unit apartment community in Shreveport, Louisiana. This hourly non-exempt role focuses on turning vacant units into ready homes and maintaining the grounds and common areas.

You will work in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented environment and support a team that values reliability and teamwork. Weekly schedule includes Monday–Friday with on-call duties and possible weekend work; requires valid Louisiana driver’s license.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of maintenance experience in an apartment or similar setting.
• Must meet physical requirements and be able to take direction.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced, customer-service environment.
• Weekends as circumstances warrant; on-call 1 week per month.

Responsibilities

• Performing minor repairs and maintenance.
• Completing duties checklist to ensure vacant apartments are move-in ready.
• Walking the property grounds and common areas and picking up trash and debris.
• Performing additional duties as directed by the Community Manager or Service Supervisor.

Rate: $17.00 per hour (Hourly non-exempt position)

As Service Technician I, you will turn vacant units into beautiful apartments, preparing them for new residents to call home. You will also be responsible for the general upkeep of the property grounds and common areas. Requirements

• At least 6 months of previous maintenance experience on an apartment community, commercial building, or single-family residences.
• Must meet all physical requirements and be able to take direction.

• Weekends as circumstances warrant; on-call 1 week per month

Work Days: Monday – Friday
Work Hours: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm; Weekends as circumstances warrant; on-call 1 week per month
Required License or Certification: Valid Driver’s License in the state of Louisiana, or a neighboring state in proximity to the property.
