Job summary

Flow Control Group seeks a Service Technician Academy Program Manager to lead the strategy, structure, and delivery of the four-technology technician academies. You will coordinate internal facilitators, build new lab capabilities in Houston, and ensure scalable, standards-aligned training across brands.

You will own certification tracking, partner with OEM training programs, and drive readiness, retention, and service quality outcomes through a data-driven approach.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years in technical training, workforce development, or field service operations in an industrial environment.
• Experience managing a structured technical training or apprenticeship program, including multi-level certification tracking and compliance reporting.
• Experience identifying, preparing, and coordinating internal instructors or SMEs, and running multiple cohorts, locations, and equipment needs on schedule.
• Comfort with workforce data: able to track, analyze, and present certification status, completion trends, retention, and training ROI to service operations and HR leadership.
• Ability to be based in Houston, TX, or to travel to Houston frequently.

Responsibilities

• Define Academy strategy, governance, and annual plan with cross-brand alignment.
• Oversee four technology academies and multi-level career pathways.
• Identify and prepare internal facilitators; coordinate scheduling and labs.
• Manage training delivery logistics across sites and the Houston lab.
• Establish and audit the Houston hands-on training lab; pilot and scale.
• Own technician certification tracking and compliance dashboards.
• Develop OEM and supplier training partnerships; coordinate apprenticeship programs.
• Track performance metrics and provide quarterly reporting.
• Capture critical tacit knowledge into formal curriculums.
• Build readiness and progression pathways; ensure safety and standards.
