Job summary

Pavion Corp is hiring a Service Technician to install, service and troubleshoot fire, alarm, CCTV and access control systems in the Richmond area and surrounding markets. You will diagnose issues, program equipment, and provide remote support to customers while maintaining professionalism and timely communication with dispatch.

Required are 2+ years in burglar alarm, CCTV/IP-CCTV, and access control service, HS diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of Burglar Alarm Service Experience.
• 2+ years of CCTV/IP-CCTV Service Experience.
• 2+ years of Access Control Service Experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Same day travel required; Richmond and Virginia Beach markets.

Responsibilities

• Service, Troubleshoot & program burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Ensure equipment is functional and operational.
• Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for repair.
• Replace system components as assigned; panels, alarms, etc.
• Provide remote technical support to customers including diagnosis of signal issues.
• Interact professionally with customers.
• Coordinate with Manager and dispatcher to complete work orders efficiently.
• Inform dispatcher or manager the status of service calls.
• Test and inspect fire alarm systems.
• Maintain assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment.

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Service Technician to join our fire business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Service, Troubleshoot & program burglar alarms, fire alarms, closed circuit television, & access control systems.
• Ensure equipment is functional and operational
• Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair
• Replace system components as assigned; panels, audible/visual alarms, etc.
• Provide technical support to customers including, remote phone diagnosis, and troubleshooting of signal issues related to formats and receivers
• Interact professionally with customers
• Coordinate with Manager and dispatcher for the purpose of completing service and work orders efficiently
• Inform dispatcher and or manager the status of service to take appropriate action
• Perform test and inspect fire alarm systems
• Maintains assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of Burglar Alarm Service Experience
• 2+ years of CCTV/ IP-CCTV Service Experience
• 2+ years of Access Control Service Experience
• The ability to carry and climb step/extension ladders where needed and lift objects up to 50 pounds when needed
• Valid Driver Licenses required
• Must be able to demonstrate basic computer/tablet skills
• Same day travel required, technician will be working Richmond/Virginia Beach markets mainly

Preferred Qualifications:

• NICET Certification
• Manufacturer certifications preferred (ex. Siemens, Notifier, Honeywell, Bosch)

The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00-$40.00 per hour. The starting hourly pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
