Job summary

Pavion Corp is hiring a Service Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot fire alarm, burglar alarm, CCTV, and access control systems in the Lynchburg and surrounding Virginia markets. The role emphasizes hands-on field work, customer interaction, and cooperation with dispatch and management.

Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED and 2+ years in burglar alarm, CCTV/IP-CCTV, and access control service.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years Burglar Alarm Service Experience.
• 2+ years CCTV/IP-CCTV Service Experience.
• 2+ years Access Control Service Experience.
• Ability to carry and climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Basic computer/tablet skills.
• Must be able to travel within Richmond/Virginia Beach markets.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot & program burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Ensure equipment is functional and operational.
• Diagnose causes of problems for repair.
• Replace system components as assigned; panels, alarms, etc.
• Provide technical support to customers including remote diagnosis.
• Interact professionally with customers.
• Coordinate with Manager for work orders.
• Inform dispatcher/manager of service status.
• Test and inspect fire alarm systems.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment.

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Service Technician to join our fire business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Service, Troubleshoot & program burglar alarms, fire alarms, closed circuit television, & access control systems.
• Ensure equipment is functional and operational
• Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair
• Replace system components as assigned; panels, audible/visual alarms, etc.
• Provide technical support to customers including, remote phone diagnosis, and troubleshooting of signal issues related to formats and receivers
• Interact professionally with customers
• Coordinate with Manager and dispatcher for the purpose of completing service and work orders efficiently
• Inform dispatcher and or manager the status of service to take appropriate action
• Perform test and inspect fire alarm systems
• Maintains assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of Burglar Alarm Service Experience
• 2+ years of CCTV/ IP-CCTV Service Experience
• 2+ years of Access Control Service Experience
• The ability to carry and climb step/extension ladders where needed and lift objects up to 50 pounds when needed
• Valid Driver Licenses required
• Must be able to demonstrate basic computer/tablet skills
• Same day travel required, technician will be working Richmond/Virginia Beach markets mainly

Preferred Qualifications:

• NICET Certification
• Manufacturer certifications preferred (ex. Siemens, Notifier, Honeywell, Bosch)

The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00-$40.00 per hour. The starting hourly pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
