Job summary

Pavion is seeking a Service Technician to join our fire protection team. You will service, program, test and inspect fire alarm systems, CCTV, and related security technologies at customer sites across the United States, ensuring equipment is functional and up to standards.

The role requires diagnosing problems, replacing components, providing remote support, and coordinating with management to complete work orders. A valid driver’s license is required; NICET II certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years' experience in installing or servicing burglar alarm, fire alarm, CCTV, access control systems.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive to customer sites.
• Knowledge of fire alarm and security systems; troubleshooting, repair and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for identifying equipment and repairs.
• Replace system components as assigned; panels, audible/visual alarms, etc.
• Provide technical support to customers including remote diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Interact professionally with customers and coordinate with Manager/dispatcher to complete work orders.
• Inform dispatcher/manager of status of service to take appropriate action.
• Maintain assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment.

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Service Technician to join our fire business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Service, Program, Test, and Inspect Fire Alarm Systems
• Ensure equipment is functional and operational
• Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair
• Replace system components as assigned; panels, audible/visual alarms, etc.
• Provide technical support to Customers including, remote phone diagnosis, and troubleshooting of signal issues related to formats and receivers
• Interact professionally with customers
• Coordinate with Manager and dispatcher for the purpose of completing service and work orders efficiently
• Inform dispatcher and or manager the status of service to take appropriate action
• Maintains assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years' experience in installing or servicing burglar alarm, fire alarm, closed circuit television, access control systems
• Knowledgeable about working on fire alarm and security systems. Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and inspecting
• This position requires regular driving to customer and project sites. A valid driver's license is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• NICET II Certification
• Alarm System Notifier experience including troubleshooting and programming

The hourly pay range for this position is $30.00-$40.00 per hour. The starting hourly pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
