Job summary

Aerotek in Moody, AL is seeking a Service Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain modular buildings and mobile office trailers, performing carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC tasks. This contract-to-hire role requires safety focus, ability to work independently, strong communication, and a commitment to quality workmanship and customer service.

Work hours are 7:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Carpentry experience required.
• Basic computer and communication skills.
• Electrical, plumbing, welding, or HVAC experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and prepare modular buildings for delivery and customer use.
• Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, flooring, HVAC maintenance, and general repairs.
• Conduct move-in/move-out inspections and identify repair needs.
• Complete customer-requested building modifications.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory levels.
• Ensure units are delivery-ready and meet quality standards.
• Complete service documentation and work orders.
• Provide professional customer service in person and over the phone.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Safely operate company vehicles and travel to job sites as needed.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
