Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled technician to perform maintenance, break-fix repairs, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations in the Monroe, NC area.

You will diagnose electro-mechanical systems, work with aluminum frames and glazing, and maintain safety and customer service standards. AAADM certification within a year is required, along with a valid driver's license and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must meet the minimum age of 21.
• Must obtain AAADM certification within one year of employment and maintain certification.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro‑mechanical devices.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low‑voltage (120v) wiring (access control systems a plus).
• Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
• Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.

• Participate in training programs.
• Participate in on‑call rotations after certification and training.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds (with lifting aids) on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation; climbing ladders, kneeling, driving and working in various positions as required.
