- Perform service and installation in accordance with manufacturers’ recommended installation procedures and specifications
- Document time spent and complete proper documentation detailing any problems, shortages and inefficiencies in job-site conditions
- Perform all work in a safe manner for prevention of accidents to themselves, co-workers, contractors on-site and the general public and property of all concerned
- Wear and maintain any/all Personal Protection Equipment when necessary
- Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic
- Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring
- Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction
- Participate in training programs
- Participate in on‑call rotations after certification and training
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds (with lifting aids) on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation; climbing ladders, kneeling, driving and working in various positions as required
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience of direct industry, store front door installation or relevant industry experience
- Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21 due to job‑related responsibilities
- Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within six (6) months of employment and maintain certification as required
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices
- Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring (access control systems a plus)
- Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork
- Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively
