The position runs Monday through Friday in a busy service department that emphasizes skill development, quality service, and safety.

Qualifications

• Operate a wide variety of cars, trucks, and vans; manual and automatic transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy to Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and road test vehicles to ensure quality of repair.

What You’ll Do

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards .
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Road test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results.
• Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training.
• Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner.
• Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools to include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels and punches, and other tools needed to perform the work for which the technician is trained and not normally inventoried by the service department as “special tools”.

What You’ll Bring

• 2+ years experience as an Automotive Service Technician required.
• Ability to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles efficiently while delivering quality expertise.
• Operate a wide variety of cars, trucks and vans with the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality repairs.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license in your state of residence.
