Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a field technician to service automated pedestrian doors across customer sites in California. You will diagnose electro-mechanical devices, repair relays, and work with aluminum frames, glazing, and low-voltage wiring.

Successful candidates will pursue AAADM certification within the first year, maintain safety standards, and communicate professionally with customers and contractors. The role includes on-call rotations after training and certification to ensure reliable door

Qualifications

  • AAADM certification within 1 year of employment.
  • Mechanical aptitude for repairing electro-mechanical devices.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and low-voltage wiring (120V).
  • Access control systems knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames and hardware preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Strong safety focus and teamwork mindset.
  • Ability to lift up to 110 lbs, kneel and climb ladders.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic
  • Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring

Requirements
  • Minimum age requirement of 21
  • Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within one (1) year of employment and maintain certification as required
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices
  • Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring
  • Access control systems knowledge is a plus
  • Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork
  • Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 110 lbs., climb ladders, and kneel
