Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled field service technician to service Stanley Automatic Door Operating Equipment and related electro/mechanical systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs while documenting time and parts used on each job.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently in varied climates, with experience in construction or glazier work being a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Clean Driving Record and Valid Driver's License.
• Experience with Stanley equipment or similar automated doors is a plus.
• Experience in construction installing door frames/windows is preferred.
• Associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial field preferred.
• Experience in electrical, automotive, HVAC, or communication fields is a plus.
• Glazier/ carpentry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service and perform preventative maintenance on Stanley Automatic Door Operating Equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment serviced by the branch.
• Perform service and repair work in a profitable and proper manner.
• Record productive time versus travel time.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to designated customer service programs.
• Maintain accurate work records and parts used at each job.
• Keep updated on changes and modifications to Stanley equipment and ANSI 156.10 standards.
• Keep manuals and details up to date.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and other property.
• Maintain adequate parts inventory for the service vehicle and keep inventory logs.
• Maintain good customer relations and customer service.
• Assist and instruct others in installation and service methods.

Requirements

• Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, kneel or crawl, twisting spine

• Flexible work schedule required, including nights, weekends, or on-call work as necessary
• Prior experience servicing automated doors preferred
• Prior experience in construction field installing door frames and windows preferred
• Associate degree in a related electrical, mechanical, or industrial field preferred
• Prior experience in electrical, automotive, HVAC, or communication fields a plus
• Prior experience as a glazier installing glass doors or windows and carpentry experience a plus
