Job summary

Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego is seeking a Facilities Service Technician to join the team at the Hillcrest campus. This full-time role requires varied shifts including weekends and duties in installations, repair and preventive maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds.

You should be skilled in at least one engineering trade with a couple years of experience or equivalent education, and bring strong technical and customer service skills. Healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Skilled in at least one engineering trade.
• 2 years of experience in a trade or general building maintenance OR completed education in the field of engineering in lieu of experience.
• Self-starter with excellent technical and customer service skills.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Service Tech performs a variety of installations, repair and preventive maintenance duties on buildings, equipment and grounds.
• Responsible for repairing and maintaining non-critical utility systems and components of critical utility systems.
