Job summary

Scripps Health is seeking a Supply Tech for Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla in San Diego. This casual per diem role involves maintaining par supply areas, stocking and delivering supplies across hospital and clinics, and performing regular cycle counts.

You’ll use inventory systems and handheld devices, with emphasis on accuracy and timely replenishment. Qualified candidates have 2-3 years of supply experience, strong English, excellent computer skills, and good interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Utilize inventory management systems and handheld devices; check for outdates/recalls as required.

This is a casual/per diem position with a varied shift and varied schedule located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.

The Supply Tech is responsible for maintaining par supply areas such as: ordering, stocking, replenishing, and delivering supplies to all areas of the hospital or clinic. Responsible for managing storeroom supplies, performing periodic cycle counting. The Supply Tech will be able to utilize inventory management systems and hand held devices according to policy and procedures. Responsible for checking for outdates, recall of product throughout the hospital and clinic. Must maintain a clean and organized supply area (s).

Qualifications

Required Experience/Specialized Skills:

• 2-3 Years supply experience, knowledge of medical supplies preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Required Education/Course(s)/Training:

• High School Graduate.
• Must be able to utilize computer systems, inventory management tools and systems, and hand held devices.
• The supply tech will need to pass initial 90 day competency and yearly competency as it relates to the position.
