Job summary

Star Heavy Equipment seeks a Service Supervisor to lead a team of 5-15 technicians and ensure top‑tier customer service. You will collaborate with the Service Dispatcher/Advisor, oversee quotes, work orders, dispatch field and shop technicians, and mentor junior staff.

Must have a high school diploma; experience as a Service Technician and familiarity with Word/Excel are required. This on‑site role offers growth and hands‑on leadership opportunities in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Service Technician preferred.
• Experience using personal computers including Microsoft Word and Excel and basic typing skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Coach and guide Service Department employees.
• Monitor, enhance, and sustain Technician performance.
• Ensure efficient job planning, including accurate quoting, parts availability, and workforce allocation.
• Address customer objections and concerns effectively.
• Maintain open communication with customers, updating them on repair status as needed.
• Oversee customer satisfaction and employee morale, implementing improvements as necessary.
• Reduce customer downtime through precise and efficient job planning and execution.
• Facilitate clear and effective communication within the company.
• Allocate tasks to Shop Technicians and coordinate the dispatch of Field Service Technicians.
