Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. is seeking a Service Supervisor – Field to oversee a small team of service technicians and act as a hands-on advisor for field operations in Austin, TX.

You will coach safety practices, ensure on-schedule work, and maintain high service standards for customers. Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of hands-on experience, relevant licenses, and the ability to read schematics and diagnose HVAC, refrigeration, electrical or plumbing systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in a related field.
• High School or GED; two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must hold registrations, licenses, and certifications relevant to the position.
• Advanced knowledge of service processes, diagnostics, techniques and codes.
• Proficient in reading complex schematics/blueprints.
• Ability to diagnose, repair, install and maintain commercial HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and/or plumbing systems.
• Excellent coaching and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supervises a team of service technicians and participates in on-call rotations.
• Acts as hands-on supervisor and primary technical advisor for technicians and customers.
• Ensures compliance with company, business unit, and local codes.
• Monitors safety and productivity; ensures customer requirements are met.
• Participates in hiring and provides performance feedback.
• Provides performance discussions to grow employee careers.
• Interacts with customers to support sales proposals, technical assistance, and invoice issues.
• Runs demand service calls and monitors service reporting metrics.
