The Service Team Coordinator is responsible for outbound and inbound customer service call handling related to patient scheduling, general inquiries, and other patient sales and service call interactions. This role is accountable for providing excellent customer service, viewing each interaction as an opportunity to support better patient health. The coordinator supports initiatives and medical centers across all ChenMed entities by assisting with key business functions and serving patients according to corporate policies and regulations. This role may require in-office presence when needed.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
  1. Operate in a call center environment, handling inbound and making outbound customer service calls related to patient scheduling, sales, and inquiries.
  2. Respond to patient inquiries based on the ChenMed care model.
  3. Follow up with patients to ensure satisfaction and escalate issues as needed.
  4. Make timely decisions according to department standards, procedures, and policies.
  5. Document interactions using web-based technology.
  6. Maintain business relationships by providing prompt, accurate service to promote loyalty.
  7. Collaborate with team members across departments to promote VIP customer service and patient interactions.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned and modified at the manager’s discretion.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Business acuity at a competent level
  • Understanding of general/core job-related functions, practices, processes, procedures, techniques, and methods
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, including active listening
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Passion for serving others, especially seniors, with initiative-taking solutions
  • Ability to operate successfully in a demanding environment
  • Proficiency in keyboarding and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with other required systems
  • Willingness to work overtime hours as needed
  • Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationwide up to 10%
  • Fluency in English; bilingual skills (Spanish, Creole, Vietnamese) preferred
Education and Experience Criteria
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required
  • Minimum 1 year in a call center or similar environment preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting preferred
  • Experience with web-based customer relationship management systems preferred
