Job summary

Creative Dining Services is seeking a Service Supervisor for Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, MO. The role oversees the dining hall operations, supervises front-of-house staff, and ensures timely meal service while maintaining sanitation and guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of front-of-house supervision, a high school diploma, basic computer knowledge, and ideally ServSafe Manager certification. Benefits are offered and weekend rotation may be required.

Salary Range: $22.00 To $22.00 Hourly

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Supervisor to help oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and cafeteria services at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, MO.As the Service Supervisor, you would be expected to supervise all service personnel, including full-time, part-time, and college student employees in preparing the kitchen and cafeteria spaces for each meal service, including training personnel in tasks as well as assisting in daily service operations, serving meals to students and guests to the MoBap campus, as well as helping to maintain a safe, sanitary work environment and following all company, state, and federal guidelines/standards regarding safety and sanitation.

Typical Schedule: 8am - 5pm, 5-days/week, rotating weekend shifts may be required - we serve meals to hungry college students 7-days a week!

Core Responsibilities:

• Oversee the dining hall
• Engage with guests, providing service in a positive, friendly & helpful manner
• Ensure timeliness of food service for each meal time, including cleanliness, garnishing items on the service lines, utilizing proper portion control techniques.
• Ensure the serving lines are properly garnished
• Train new service employees according to prescribed training schedule & proper portion control

• Assist the Dining Management with events or other tasks as assigned.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

The Service Supervisor position involves physical work in a commercial kitchen environment. Responsibilities include moving inventory, product, carts, tables, etc. as well as using kitchen utensils and commercial kitchen equipment. Environment may include hot, humid, or cold temperatures. May require extended working hours at times. Must be able to lift/move 25 lbs.
