Job summary

Ohio CAT Rental Store, a division of Ohio Machinery Co., seeks a hands-on shop supervisor to oversee technicians and drive safe, efficient work in our shop environment. You will coach crews, manage schedules, and ensure repairs meet manufacturer warranties and policies.

As a leader, you will develop skills, address issues, and collaborate with supervision to create a culture that emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement across our service operations in Ohio.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Three years of heavy equipment industry experience required.
• Prior supervisory experience required.

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing employees and ensuring work is completed safely and effectively, the position will work daily in the shops by promoting a safe and healthy culture, coaching, developing and leading technicians, providing training or training options, helping technicians develop key skills, ensuring compliance with regulations affecting service operations, creating and managing an employee schedule, keeping up to date with manufacturer warranties and policies, checking the progress of repairs and service, managing issues and complaints, knowledge and experience in the industry and having a strong leadership and interpersonal skills. This position will work closely with Supervision to ensure all technicians will be successful in their careers.

Job Qualifications

• High School graduate required. Three years of industry experience is required
• Technical knowledge of heavy equipment is required. Prior supervisory experience is required.

Physical Requirements

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
