Job summary

Ohio CAT Rental Store is seeking a service-oriented equipment technician to operate and service heavy and specialized equipment. You will load/unload, inspect for damages, perform minor repairs, and maintain prime customer service in all weather conditions.

The role requires a high school diploma, and a technical field education is a plus; prior experience with construction or power equipment service is beneficial. Candidates should be organized and able to work flex/shift hours.

Qualifications

High school graduate minimum.
College and/or continued education in a technical field a plus.
Experience related to construction or power equipment service and repair is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate multiple sizes and brands of heavy, aerial, water pump, and shoring equipment.
Load and unload equipment safely from trucks and trailers.
Wash equipment and check/inspect for damages; communicate damages upon return.
Perform minor repairs/inspections and PM services.
Work in all-weather conditions and maintain professional, courteous customer service.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position will require the ability to operate multiple sizes and brands of heavy, aerial, water pump, and shoring equipment, load and unload equipment safely off and onto trucks and trailers, wash equipment, check/inspect and communicate any damages when equipment is brought back, perform minor repair/inspections and PM Services on the equipment, work in all-weather types, great organizational and communication skills and ability to work with customers in a professional and courteous manner.

COMPETENCIES:

General technical service skills, mechanical aptitude or experience with construction or power equipment required.

Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to work without direct supervision and work Flex/Shift hours.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Some computer and software skills required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling. Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines. Dexterity Normal. Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
