Job summary

Ohio CAT Rental Store, a division of Ohio Machinery Co., seeks a service technician to operate heavy and aerial equipment, perform inspections, light repairs, and PM services. You will load/unload gear, wash equipment, and communicate any damages to customers and supervisors.

Ability to work in all weather and with a team is essential. Qualifications include a high school diploma and technical coursework; experience with construction or power equipment is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate minimum.
• College and/or continued education in a technical field a plus.
• Experience related to construction or power equipment service and repair is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple sizes and brands of heavy, aerial, water pump, and shoring equipment.
• Load and unload equipment safely off/on trucks and trailers.
• Wash equipment and check/inspect for damages; communicate results.
• Perform minor repairs/inspections and PM services.
• Work in all weather conditions and maintain professionalism with customers.

Hours:

7am-4pm or 8am-5pm

Job Summary

This position will require the ability to operate multiple sizes and brands of heavy, aerial, water pump, and shoring equipment, load and unload equipment safely off and onto trucks and trailers, wash equipment, check/inspect and communicate any damages when equipment is brought back, perform minor repair/inspections and PM Services on the equipment, work in all-weather types, great organizational and communication skills and ability to work with customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Competencies

• General technical service skills, mechanical aptitude or experience with construction or power equipment required.
• Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to work without direct supervision and work Flex/Shift hours.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Some computer and software skills required.

Physical Requirements

Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling. Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines. Dexterity Normal. Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
