Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company is seeking a Service Foreman in Chattanooga, TN. You will supervise service technicians, assist in diagnosing issues, and work with the Service Advisor to greet customers, sell labor, and estimate repair costs within guidelines.

Requirements include four years of related field experience, CDL preferred, and strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills. This role emphasizes safety and meeting shop deadlines.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum of four years of experience in a related field, with proven service background and knowledge of warranties.
• Must display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have good employee and customer service skills.
• Good leadership abilities.
• Must have a positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision and performance management of service technicians; schedule and assign work.
• Coordinate with Service Manager to manage technicians and repair scheduling for efficiency and quality.
• Work with Service Advisor to schedule shop work and communicate with customers.
• Review ongoing work to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction.
• Assist in setting realistic sales and gross profit objectives with the Service Manager.
• Inspect and road test vehicles after repairs to ensure quality.
• Inform the service manager of customer complaints for timely resolution.
• Promote safe shop practices and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Pre‑plan parts requirements and participate in training on warranty/technical issues.
• Assist in opening/closing repair orders and perform other duties as assigned.
