You will supervise the mechanics and oversee diagnostics and repairs, coordinating with drivers and owners to determine problems and solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma required.
• 4+ years as a mechanic and 2+ years as shop foreman or lead mechanic.
• CDL required; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read computer generated reports and operate computer terminals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose truck components and determine repairs.
• Write repair orders and communicate with drivers and owners to determine problems and solutions.
• Schedule and assign jobs to employees according to skills and knowledge.
• Inspect work as it progresses and keep customers informed on completion times and costs.
• Road test and dyno test trucks to verify repairs and ensure quality.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas; ensure tools/equipment are properly maintained.
• Ensure warranty eligibility of parts and safe working conditions.
