Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a friendly and hardworking Service Route Driver for the 1st shift in Downers Grove, IL. This full-time role involves loading, delivering, and stocking products at client locations, while ensuring proper refrigeration and inventory control.

Candidates should be at least 21, have a valid license (CDL not required), pass the DOT physical, lift up to 50 pounds, and communicate well with customers and AVI team members. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL not required) and a good driving record.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure company vehicle is properly loaded with all product needed to service locations.
• Drive vehicle to transport products and food to client locations.
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested.
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers.
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in truck and at accounts.
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory.
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise.
• Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines.
• Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling.
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts.
• Manage the care of the company vehicle.
