Cardinal Health is seeking a Service & Repair Technician to support customers by diagnosing, testing and repairing medical devices. You will help ensure product quality and timely issue resolution while adhering to GMP and GDP standards.

The role requires hands-on repair, documentation accuracy and teamwork in a 9pm–5am on-call schedule. Strong problem-solving and basic English literacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical repair or equipment maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of IPC standards (soldering) preferred.
• Ability to read and write in English to process documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform product decontamination and functional evaluations.
• Complete basic electronic component assembly and disassembly to support repair.

The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

What Product Support/Repair-Field and Depot contributes to Cardinal Health Customer Service, Technical is responsible for establishing, maintaining and enhancing customer business through effective implementation and/or support of Cardinal Health's products and services.

Job Summary

The Service & Repair Technician supports Cardinal Health customers and operations by troubleshooting, diagnosing, testing, repairing, and maintaining medical devices and equipment. This role contributes to customer satisfaction through product repair, timely resolution of technical issues, and adherence to quality and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, analyze, test, calibrate, and repair Cardinal Health medical devices and equipment.


• Perform product decontamination and functional evaluations to identify technical issues and determine appropriate repair actions.


• Complete basic electronic component assembly and disassembly in support of repair and maintenance activities.


• Conduct product triage and technical assessments to ensure efficient resolution of equipment issues.


• Maintain accurate service records and documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and established procedures.


• Manage and maintain inventory of equipment, spare parts, consumables, and repair materials to support operational needs.


• Prioritize and complete assigned work to meet productivity goals, quality, and customer expectations.


• Partner with internal teams to support customer expectations and ensure timely product support and repair services.


• Comply with all company policies and applicable local, state, federal, safety, and quality regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).


• Perform other duties as assigned, including working overtime as needed to support business requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience preferred.


• 1-2 years of experience in technical repair, equipment maintenance, product support, manufacturing, electronics, or a related field preferred.


• Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical product issues preferred.


• Knowledge of customer complaint handling processes preferred.


• Familiarity with IPC standards (soldering) preferred.


• Basic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents.


• Ability to accurately complete documentation and follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams preferred.


• Willingness to learn the use of hand tools, repair equipment, and testing devices.


• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and attention-to-detail skills.


• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while supporting customer-focused service objectives.
