Job summary

Lithia GM of Fairbanks is seeking a customer-focused Service Porter to join our Service Department. You will greet service customers, assist with vehicle prep, and help maintain a clean, organized work area.

You will be involved in parking and routing vehicles, assisting the receptionist, and performing clerical tasks as needed. A valid driver's license and dealership experience are beneficial for success in this role.

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome service customers, assist all customers promptly.
• Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel cover, and floor mats in vehicles arriving for service.
• Identify the service advisor with whom the customer has an appointment and notify that advisor.
• Drive vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot.
• Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when the customer pays their bill or as the advisor directs.
• Maintain the parking lot and a clean, organized work area.
• Assist the Service Receptionist with incoming telephone calls.
• Assist Shuttle driver when needed.
• Perform several clerical tasks as assigned by service management.
• Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, employees or customers.
