Job summary

Chevrolet of Wasilla is hiring a Service Porter to join the Service Department in Wasilla, Alaska. The role involves greeting customers, prepping vehicles, moving cars in the service bay, and assisting the service receptionist and shuttle driver, with a focus on delivering a friendly customer experience.

Pay is $17.00 - $19.00 per hour DOE, with Monday to Friday 7:30am - 6pm and closed on weekends. The dealership offers comprehensive benefits as part of its Total Rewards package.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication and customer-service mindset.
• Basic computer skills for clerical tasks.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in your state.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome service customers in a genuinely friendly and courteous manner.
• Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel cover, and floor mats in vehicles arriving for service.
• Identify the service advisor with whom the customer has an appointment and notify that advisor.
• Drive vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot.
• Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when their bill is paid or as directed by the advisor.
• Maintain the parking lot in a neat and organized manner and keep work area clean.
• Assist the Service Receptionist with incoming calls and with shuttle duties when needed.
• Perform various clerical tasks as assigned by service management.

What You’ll Do

• Assist the Service Receptionist with incoming telephone calls when necessary, answering in a professional and prompt manner.
• Assist Shuttle driver when needed.
• Perform various clerical tasks as assigned by service management.
• Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees or customers.
