Job summary

Southern Home Services is seeking a Service Plumber to handle a range of residential plumbing tasks, including troubleshooting, installing, and repairing plumbing systems. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure work meets high-quality standards and local codes, with strong problem-solving and communication skills essential for success.

The role requires experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work with homeowners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on plumbing experience in residential/commercial systems.
• Valid driver's license with clean record and 3 years driving experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and job specs.
• Experience with installing, maintaining, and repairing water, gas, and sewage systems.
• Knowledge of local and state plumbing codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose plumbing problems and determine repairs or replacements.
• Install and assemble plumbing systems and equipment (valves, pipes, fittings).
• Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on water, gas and sewage systems.
• Test for leaks and ensure safe, compliant operation.
• Manage inventory of plumbing supplies and ensure tool readiness.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners and team members.
• Lead apprentices and coordinate with other trades on larger projects.
• Be available for flexible hours including weekends and emergencies.
