Job summary

Southern Home Services is seeking a dedicated Service Plumber to handle residential plumbing tasks, from diagnosing leaks to installing and repairing systems. You will work in homes across the service area, ensure work meets local codes, and communicate clearly with homeowners.

The ideal candidate has a Journeyman Plumber license, 2+ years of hands-on experience, reads blueprints, and demonstrates strong problem-solving and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Plumber License required.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on plumbing experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Proficient reading of blueprints and drawings.
• Experience with water, gas and sewage systems.
• Knowledge of local codes and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and determine repairs or replacements.
• Install and assemble plumbing systems and equipment.
• Perform installation, maintenance and repairs on water and gas systems.
• Test for leaks to ensure safety.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and safety gear.
• Manage inventory and paperwork as needed.
• Assist and coordinate with other trades on larger projects.
