Southern Home Services is seeking a Service Plumber to handle a range of residential plumbing tasks, including troubleshooting, installing, and repairing plumbing systems. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure adherence to local codes with strong communication to homeowners.

The role requires at least 2 years of hands-on plumbing experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in residential/commercial plumbing installation, maintenance and repair.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specs.
• Expertise in installing, maintaining, repairing water, gas, and sewage systems.
• Familiarity with local/state plumbing codes and regulations.
• Experience with plumbing tools such as pipe cutters, threaders, soldering tools.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills with homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and determine whether repairs or replacements are needed.
• Install and assemble plumbing systems and equipment, including valves, pipes, and fittings.
• Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on water and gas systems and components.
• Test for leaks using compressed air or water to ensure safety.
• Maintain inventory of plumbing supplies and manage stock.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
• Coordinate with team members and apprentices on jobs.
