Job summary

Harbinger Motors is seeking a Commodity Manager, Service to lead sourcing, purchasing and supply of replacement parts for service centers, dealers, fleets, and warranty operations across Harbinger vehicles.

You will negotiate terms, manage POs, monitor supplier performance, and coordinate with Service Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering and Quality to ensure reliable, cost-efficient parts availability and readiness for new launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3+ years of purchasing/supply chain experience.
• Experience in managing day-to-day supplier performance, POs, deliveries, shortages, expedites, and inventory planning.
• Strong negotiation skills balancing customer service, inventory investment and total cost.
• Hands-on ERP/MRP experience (Oracle/SAP) and advanced Excel for data analysis.
• Independent problem-solver with cross-functional communication; willing to travel periodically.

Responsibilities

• Strategic sourcing and negotiation to optimize cost and availability.
• Manage daily purchasing activities (POs, delivery schedules, expedites), lead shortage recovery, and monitor supplier KPIs.
• Translate demand forecasts and warranty data into replenishment plans balancing service levels with inventory.
• Manage ECOs/PCOS, part substitutions, and end-of-life requirements.
• Support new vehicle launches (SOP) and work with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to resolve supplier issues.
