Job summary

Depot Connect International in Phoenix is seeking a Service Writer to deliver quality customer service in person, by phone, or email, including quoting service work and updating customers with final pricing.

You will support the service team, create repair orders, manage job files, and coordinate parts and yard activities, working with service managers and technicians to keep the shop running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associates or bachelor's degree a plus.
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Self-starter with excellent customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete job files, including approvals and related correspondence.
• Technician time keeping and payroll submittal on a bi-weekly basis.
• Create repair orders with customer concerns, contact info, and unit details.
• Prepare repair orders review for service manager; finalize shop invoicing and filing.
• Maintain job files with all pertinent correspondence for each job.
• Daily yard checks and logs; update the customer accordingly.
• Update daily KPIs (electronic and printed) to be posted in the shop.
• Interact with service management team and technicians.
• Ensure fabrication materials are stocked and available.
• Allocate and pull parts for repair orders and research/order parts as needed.
• Pickup parts as needed.
